Door Trim
These cars are getting to the age when certain trim pieces are starting to deteriorate. One of the common ones is the door trim. Here are some instructions for removal and installation:

  1. Open the doors. On each trim piece, there is a little plug in the front which pops out with a screw driver.
  2. Grasp the rear of the trim and pull it rearwards. It should slide straight back and off the white clips which are hooked to the door on little studs.
  3. To put the new one on, spray the inside of the trim piece with some lubricant and then slide it onto the clips.
  4. Pop the plug back in the front and you're good to go.

Problem 1:
Middle trim piece was missing. Purchased new piece, cleaned it, cleaned the surface, super duty double sided 3m taped it, and applied it with firm pressure, with a little heat up with my heat gun (make the tape warmer, kinda cold out).

Problem 2:
Lower trim piece was sticking out, the inner plastic brackets were broken. There are a total of 8 brackets, I had 6 good ones, and 2 half broken ones (meaning upper tab was still there, lower tap was broken). Swapped out the two bad ones for two good ones in a decent arrangement.

Like so:
GOOD GOOD BAD GOOD GOOD BAD GOOD GOOD

This way the trim piece would go back on and not really have to worry about it staying on.
