Stock Audi Steering Wheel:

New Momo Quark Red Steering Wheel:

Momo Hub Adapter Kit:

Step 1, remove the two torx screws on both sides that attach to the air bag.

Step 2, remove the airbag by unplugging the connector (be careful). I am not an airbag expert but if it were to go off while you are doing this, that would NOT be a good thing. Consider yourself warned.

Step 3, Unplug the airbag sensor.

Step 4, remove the steering wheel. You must lock the steering wheel all the way to the left/right before unscrewing the bolt.

Steering Wheel Removed:

Be sure to notice where the steering wheel is positioned BEFORE you remove it off of the steering hub. It took me several drives around the block with the deep socket and ratchet to get my new steering wheel on straight. FYI.

Now the real dilema here is the stock horn and the new horn adapter on the MOMO hub do NOT line up. I improvised and drilled a hole right in the plastic. Some others suggested a rolled up cord like you see on car accessories for electronics (like a cell phone charger) and to just have that dangling, I like this way better.

This is the horn wire you need to unplug and tap into for your new horn

The wire plugged into the horn plug, coming through the drilled hole, and into the new steering wheel hub.

The ground wire for the horn.

Hub on. The green/yellow wire is used for the ground, the brown/red wire is for the power to the horn. (I used my own wire/wire colors.)

Steering Wheel on & mounted.

I never realized how much the steering wheel affects your day to day driving. I really enjoy the new look, feel, and driving experience now so much more. I highly advise this to anyone who is thinking about different steering wheel options.
